Cancellation Policy for Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Freediving and PADI Courses

 

To ensure that both parties are fairly and comprehensively protected, our cancellation policy is practical and reasonable by offering several cancellation scenarios which includes last minute bookings as well. 

Scuba Butler Fuvahmulah reserves the right to amend this Cancellation Policy without prior notice.

Please read this policy carefully as it will provide you with detailed information about the necessary conditions when cancelling your booking with us.

  1. 1. General Conditions 


    This cancellation policy applies to all services provided by us, including but not limited to scuba diving activities, discover scuba diving, snorkeling, freediving and PADI courses such as PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, and all other PADI courses.
     

  2. 2. Cancellations
    Cancellations must be requested in writing by sending an email to our official email address. sales@scubabutler.com 

    Please do not use text, messenger apps, social media, or rely on telling a staff member. 
     
  3. 3. Cancellation Timeframes and Fees
     
    • A minimum of 30 days' notice is required for cancellations. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date, same-day cancellations, no-shows, and bookings made less than 14 days before the arrival date will be charged at full price.
       
    • Cancellations made between 14 and 29 days before the arrival date will incur a 50% charge of the total booking amount. Cancellations made more than 45 days before the arrival date will incur no charge.
       
    • For bookings made less than 14 days before the arrival date, if you choose to cancel, no refund will be issued and the full payment will be charged.
       
    • Any cancellation or rescheduling, regardless of the notice period, will incur a 10% processing fee. This fee is deducted from the total payment amount.
       
    • If you choose to cancel or stop the experience at any point after the booking is confirmed, you will be charged the full amount, as no partial payments or refunds are available.
       
    • These terms are enforced to cover the allocation of staff, equipment, and resources reserved for your booking. All cancellations, reschedules, or changes, whether partial or full, are subject to these terms.
       
  4. 4. No Shows
    Failure to arrive at the designated location for the scheduled activity at the specified time will be treated as a last-minute cancellation. This will result in a full charge, and no refund will be issued under any circumstances. 

    No-show guests will be charged the full price of the booking, with no eligibility for a refund.
     
  5. 5. Unforeseen Circumstances
    In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters, political instability, or other serious events that could affect your safety or the feasibility of the activity, we reserve the right to cancel the activity.

    • In such cases, we will make every effort to arrange an alternative activity or reschedule your booking to a later date, subject to availability.
       
    • If rescheduling or alternative arrangements are not possible, we will issue a full refund.

    Refunds or rescheduling will be processed based on the availability of alternative options and only in situations beyond     your control.
     

  6.  6. Inability to Complete Activities or PADI Courses
    1. If a student is unable to complete any PADI course due to medical reasons, such as ear equalizing issues, panic, anxiety, or other medical conditions, no refunds or reschedules will be allowed.
       
    2. Similarly, if a guest is unable to complete the full scope of their booked scuba diving, snorkeling, or freediving activity for any reason, including personal, medical, or external factors, no refunds or reschedules will be permitted.
  7. 7. Acknowledgement
    By booking any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to this cancellation policy. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please contact us prior to booking.
